If our looking for a general purpose headlamp at less than $75/unit, this is the one you need to bet.Lithium cell, 18650. USB charger on side of headlamp does effective job, Basic setting delivers 600 lumens to the emitter. This can be boosted to 1200 lumens, but 600 MORE than suffices. This units has voltage regulation circuitry that keeps the voltage across the emitter leads constant for as long as the battery holds out. So this unit is NOT vulnerable to the Universal Flashlight Curse: decreasing light output as the battery discharges. The per-unit cost is less than the 3xAAA Alkaline powered Streamlight Septor I picked up 20 years ago, which I used to use for outdoors/night. The Wuben is light years better in every respect. In particular, it delivers better light at a better color temperature with a strongly made aluminum case, rather than a brittle plastic case (Streamlight Septor, version 1, circa 2005) that needs a steady stream of spare parts over the lamp's service lifetime.I got two: one in use, one as backup.Money well spent.

I had the H1 Headlight for a year which I use at work on night shift and the battery started going bad. Customer Service instead of just sending me a new battery sent me the whole unit again, They said they wanted me to be happy with my purchase!I purchased four of the C3 flashlight, which have given me no issues at all. I’ve given two of them away as gifts and I have had a spare sitting for over a year just in case the first one went bad. I’ve never had to open the box because the one I use every day at work has never given me an issue.I also purchased the X1 Which is a small in size very bright 12,000 lm handheld flashlight which again is very very sturdy. When they say 12,000 lm they mean exactly that! It lights up my whole backyard like I have stadium lights back there. I use this for inspecting the building at work and the massive 30,000 and 40,000 gallon tanks that we produce soy sauce in!I have had other brands Like the O-Light And another more expensive brand, but they burn through batteries really fast and do not stay bright. The Wuben Stay bright for a long time without losing its charge. For the money that you pay for these flashlights, they are well worth it!I would recommend these to anybody

I have the Wuben L50 flashlight as an everyday carry tool. It is rugged and fits my needs perfectly. When it came time to buy a headlight, I checked out the Wuben H1. I looked at some reviews on Youtube and read the reviews here. Nothing adverse stood out so I pulled the trigger. I'm glad I did. This light is rugged yet light weight and comfortable. It is easy to use and contains the same battery as my L50. It uses an 18650 Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. However this battery is just slightly longer than a standard 18650 because it contains protection circuitry. I also purchased a Victagen universal intelligent battery charger with two 3200 mAhr batteries. These batteries fit in the headlight and work perfectly. However I wouldn't charge them in the headlight since they do not have the protection circuit incorporated into the battery like the ones that came with the Wuben H1. I like everything about this lamp and it only costs $25. I had my wife try it on and she immediately realized it would be a perfect reading light. So I'm ordering a second one today. Everyone in the family should have one of these for emergency situations.

I have had a NiteCore HC65M for my ballistic and bump helmets for a couple of years. It works great and I always figured I would buy either an HC65 head strap lamp or a Wuben H1 for everyday use. The first version HC65M I have is good for it's intended environment but a little too bright on auxiliaries to those around me for everyday work and camping use. The Wuben H1 is perfect. It's not too bright on the auxiliary lights for those around me but bright enough for me. The main light really gets the job done. I typically use the second setting from the lowest.I haven't needed a larger battery but when this battery wears out, I plan on purchasing a larger amp hour battery for it. The HC65M and others of this design will run also off of two CR123 batteries. I assume the Wuben H1 will do so as well but I haven't tested it yet.If you want a solid head lamp with good auxiliary red and high CRI auxiliary white, the Wuben H1 is the headlamp for you. (You NEED a high CRI AUX white light for first aid.) Everyone who has seen this light in action on me has purchased one for themselves. I cannot think of a more perfect light for everyday use at this price point than the Wuben H1. This is the only headlamp I recommend to others for everyday use. For helmet (NVG) mount, the NiteCore HC65M (the new version has two auxiliary red light levels) is the way.Wuben... It would be awesome if future versions of this light would work whilst charging. That way, an extended battery pack can be used.
