These are great little readers. I was able to install behind a wall for a secret panel using Arduino to trigger a relay and open door magnet.

Perfect exact modules I was expecting! Worked with no issues with both Arduino and ESP 32/ESP 8266

All 5 work, though 1 reader seems to have slightly worse reception range and one tag was less reliable.Pro tip: if using github miguelbalboa/rfid or similar driver, you may need to adjust the MODWIDTH register to 0x09 and antenna gain to 0x70 in order to get better reception with the included tags.These modules work in SPI mode. (To use in I2C or UART mode you would need to physically modify the boards, which according to my searches, involve hot-air rework or careful drilling through the PCB.)

Controller PCB pin out is different from standard, so make sure to check your wiring.

Worked as expected. Wish the range was a bit farther but works well.
