I purchased these plugs for my dad as a gift over a year ago. My dad is a very practical man, so much so that it can be very hard to find gifts for him. But he does like gadgets that he has to figure out, or that he gets to “play” with. Mostly things that improve your life in some (practical) way.It took him awhile to figure these plugs out. Or rather, what he wanted to use them for. As more time has passed, he keeps figuring out things to use them for, things that make his life easier, and I think by now he really enjoys using them. Some favorite ways he has found to use these are for the Christmas tree lights. He enjoys turning them on and off from his phone, rather than reaching around the picky tree. Or, if returning home, he will turn the tree on just before they arrive, so their house is festive and lit when they get there. Note: my mom refuses to download the app required for using these on her phone. But, there is a little button on the plug itself that enables you to turn the thing plugged into it, on and off. This helps, at least for the tree, rather than always fumbling for the plug on the ground then unplugging when done, it’s easier and less fighting with needles to just touch a button. The tree lights can stay plugged in all the time, and turned on and off with the button.The second way my dad has enjoyed using these, is for his maple syrup setup. He plugs a light into one of these Wyze plugs down by the boiling sap, and can then turn the light on and off from the house. Much more convenient than having to always be running out of the house!There are many, many ways to use these, and it’s quite fun to keep finding new uses!

It is easy to set a time schedule or use the timer to turn the switch on or off or you can override the setting and turn on or off. You can pair up more and put them in a group to monitor. Love Wyze products, good value and dependable products for a decent price.

Ya he usado varios productos de la marca, es muy fácil configurar los contactos. No he tenido problema con las rutinas, o con encender o apagar al momento.

Se sienten de buen material y son faciles de configurar, ademas que el precio es muy bueno en comparacion con otros similares y funcionan de maravilla de forma remota, los volveria a comprar.

Been using Wyze cams for a few years now and love them. So i figure i will continue with the Wyze eco system. Since their products seem legit.Unfortunately this is not the case for the plugs. What a disappointment. I guess you get what you pay for.Worked great for a couple of days, the the connectivity issues started. Keep losing connection with my network. Making the product unusable. Blue LED flashes and plug stays always ON. Dispite the firmware upgrade.Very disapointed.*EDITSince the latest firmware, they been very reliable. Cannot complain. The only thing I wish is that they were compatible with Apple Home.

This is a GREAT product. Just buy it. FIVE STARS!A great compliment to home security. Can make you look like your home when you’re not through automated “vacation mode” light controls. And much more.Originally I gave it a one star review bc the plug kept dropping off wifi connection. Basically making the plug not an ideal choice for home security.However, there was an OTA firmware update two weeks ago. Since then, none of my plugs have dropped off wifi. Very stable now.Plugs work great now. AMAZING product.Thanks Wyze!p.s. below was my original one star review for context********I am a loyal Wyze customer. I have many of their products in my house from cameras, outdoor floodlights, plugs, etc. In total, about 17 wyze products in my home. Many of my Wyze products are GREAT.So it pains me to have to write a negative review on their smart plug.These smart plugs have a huge flaw - they randomly disconnect from their wifi connection. And their is no way to reestablish the wifi connection unless you are physically next to the plug and have to do a hard physical restart. The plug is incapable of reestablishing wifi connection automatically. And you can not prompt it to do so remotely via the app on your smartphone.Since most people will use this plug to control lights when they are away for security reasons (vacation, coming home late from work, etc), this random wifi drop problem makes it a terrible choice as part of a home security setup.Went on two vacations recently. Both over a week long. A few days into each vacation, my app started showing a few of my plugs as “off line”. Basically you can’t control them remotely and they are no long working. Basically your home security with lights going on and off at night is gone.I’ve spoke to customer service many times on this issue. I’ve done it all - hard resents, turning off 5ghz on router so plug can connect to 2.4ghz, erase/reinstall app, etc. Nothing works.When you google this issue, there’s a lot of people out there experiencing the same thing with this plug.Wyze has openly stated they are aware of the issue and have sent firmware updates to fix it. Firmware update have been sent, but the issue is not fixed.This is the first negative Amazon review I have ever written. I hope Wyze reads this and understands that loyal customers of Wyze are super frustrated over this issue.PLEASE FIX THIS.It’s my hope that you can fix this asap. And then I can turn this one star review into a five star!Thank you

These plugs are very easy to set up with the Wyze app. The app provides multiple programming modes to program the plugs individually or in groups including a vacation mode. The vacation mode is useful and turns the plugs on randomly during the evening (6 pm to 11 pm local) and morning (6 am to 9 am). However, there is no adjustment for sunset or sunrise, so lights are often on during daylight. If a group of plugs is set to vacation mode, all plugs in the group will all turn on together at the same random time. If one plug in a group is set to vacation mode, all the plugs in the group will run in vacation mode and turn on together. So, if you want the plugs to be in vacation mode and turn on/off at different times, you need to activate each separately. You can’t use the Wyze app Shortcut feature to set vacation mode either. There is a lot of room for improvement of the vacation mode. Otherwise, I like them.

El producto es bueno y tiene la calidad que esperaba de la compañia, sin embargo al momento de utilizarlo me parecate que no habia muchas cosas en las que se podría usar, yo recomiendo ampliamente visualizar, y luego comprar este producto, ver como uno se acomoda a su funcionamiento en la casa y apartir de ahí comprar más o quedarse con estos.Pros:Diseño elegante, puedo poner ambos en mis oulets juntos.Cons:El diseño sigue siendo algo grande

Para poderlo instalar tuve que usar un iPhone, no pude hacerlo en mi Pixel 3 con Android 10 y eso que soy un "geek". Estaría bien que el setup fuera en Google Home (en esta plataforma lo uso) para no tener que descargar más apps. Una vez instalado funciona bien y es bastante responsivo, puedes poner timers o saber cuánto tiempo de uso al día tiene determinado aparato. Los materiales son buenos y la app de WYZE está bien, aunque no es la más intuitiva, si vas a ponerlos lejos de tu módem, te recomiendo comprar extensores de red para evitar intermitencias. Han durado bien y los ocupo en aplicaciones de alto consumo (impresoras 3D para materiales muy calientes).

Si te gusta el concepto de smart home, estos son geniales, actualmente lo compre antes de navidad para poder controlar las luces navideñas y no tener que estar apagando y encendiendo manualmente, te ayuda a ahorrar luz, hoy en día la utilizo en la cocina con un sistema de cocción lento y en la sala con el centro de entretenimiento, Lo mejor de todo es su facilidad de utilizar con su aplicación wyze app, se puede poner que se apague en un determinado tiempo o generar horarios del mismo, actualmente también utilizo cámaras de esta marca ya que son económicas y muy buenas. Recomendados para uso con alexa con cuenta americana o google home mexico.

Qué servicio!!!, llegó antes de la fecha indicada.Con respecto al producto, es la primera vez que instalo un dispositivo en menos de tres minutos, es increíble!, se ve la dedicación de todo el equipo de wyze para desarrollar una configuracion tan fácil, y no se diga de los materiales del plug, buena calidad y además compacto, en verdad es un Gran Producto, LO RECOMIENDO AL 💯%, Es muy agradable que sigan existiendo compañías como Wyze para crear y desarrollar productos inteligentes y fáciles de instalar, les envío un fuerte abrazo a todo el equipo de Wyze !!!
