I ordered the xcivi 12 Pack Pet Food Desiccant Bags for Collapsible Food Storage Container Cat & Dog Pet FoodThese are great for keeping lots of things fresh.Moisture adds the possibility of mold and these help reduce moisture.You will need to keep unused ones in a GOOD airtight container. I put the bag it came with in a zippy bag for a double layer of protection.You can add this in the bottom of the container if yours's doesn't have a spot just make sure its not on food directly. The outer package isn't dangerous but it it were to pop open, accidentally consuming the insides would be bad.You can also add these to pill or vitamin bottles or homemade candy to reduce moisture content.These seemed to work well in our small container. I also will add these into the container of my merengue cookies as moisture has a huge negative effect on them.

I took one dessicant pouch, put a few drops of water into a baggie, filled the baggie with some cat food and the dessicant pouch. A day later, I checked, those few drops of water were gone, the dessicant pouch had grown in size and weight, and the cat food was dry and fresh.

I have never replaced the silicone packet that came with my cat's auto feeder since I bought it. Im not sure how often it's supposed to be changed. But since it's been over a year, I thought it would be a good idea to change it.The packets I got fit perfectly inside the packet compartment on my machine. I thought I would have to stuff two in there because they look small. One is more than enough. There are plenty of packets in this order so I should be set for awhile. The original packet did keep the cat food fresh so I expect these will do the same. I'm pleased w this product.

These are decently sized standard "non-indicating" desiccant packs. They do a nice job of absorbing moisture just as advertised.I do find the product description a little, potentially, misleading. They recommend that you change the packs every couple of weeks, which is fine. But they don't mention that you can reuse the packs over and over. Look online for easy instructions in a microwave, oven, or food dehydrator.Additionally, they mention the sealed bad that the packs come in. Well, that bad seals at the top but has manufacturing holes in it. So, the desiccant will still absorb moisture when stored. So... not well documented.Final Verdict: Packs are fine and work as expected. Instructions are nil. Look up how to use these online for optimal use. It's easy do work with them and keep things dry once you have the knowledge.

I ordered these desiccant bags because I had recently bought some new pet food containers and dispensers. Although these containers said they were supposed to come with desiccant bags and have holders for them, they were not always included. These are just what I needed. They fit into the containers that I needed them to fit into. I like that the bags were not super full, so I could squeeze them into different spaces that I needed them to go into.
