Before buying it is important to check your system to see what size it can accommodate. There are batteries on the market here that are too large for some systems. This is a smaller and smaller capacity battery for the old Honeywell home alarm systems that cannot take the larger battery. Today I replaced the original battery that lasted 18 years. This fit perfectly. Call your central alarm company before you work on your system, so that they don't get an alert message. I was alerted by several sources that a new battery could continue to chirp for up to 48 hrs. and indicate a "low batt" problem. This battery was fully functioning after two hours (no chirping). I'm pleased with it. It apparently came partly charged. If it develops any problem in the next two years I will come back here and modify my review. Another thing, I could not unhook the old battery's connector from the circuit board after using a lot of force. To avoiding damaging the circuit board I left the original connector in the circuit board and cut and spliced the wires together.

Initially I thought it was a Door or window sensor battery causing the alarm box to beep and report LOW BATTERY - if I left a Door or Window open in the house while home and for the purpose of going outside in the yard or bringing in fresh air from outside. After replacing batteries in some of the sensors and seeing some sensors did not have batteries (because some were wireless sensors and others were WIRED to the alarm box). I opened the alarm box and saw this type of battery in it and after replacing - I do not have this issue anymore!
