Dryer would not start. Checked the obvious things first and discovered the door switch was bad. Ordered this identical switch and two days later, dryer is working fine again.

This appeared the same as my existing door switch in the picture, however the spade ends are smaller (thinner) than the original and I had to cut of the old connectors and put new smaller female connectors on my existing washer wires for it to fit. Not a huge deal, but makes me wonder about safety - smaller is not better when it comes to electricity and amperage. Should be fine, be just be aware you may run into the same situation. My dryer is from 1999, so maybe they make the connectors smaller in newer model and it would fit fine? Not sure, just going off my experience.

The switch works well but it doesn’t come with the wires.

The switch fit in the opening, however, the terminals are smaller than the original switch so the wire contacts won't stay on.
