I've got some big pieces of equipment that I wanted to weigh and the TOYO-INTL digital crane scale was just what I needed.Because this is a hanging scale you'll need a sturdy place to hang it. I got a beam clamp and hung it from the steel beam in my basement. The scale has a tare weight feature that will weigh the straps or chains you'll use to lift with and subtract that from the total weight hanging.The scale uses four AA batteries and the remote uses two AA batteries. The remote will be handy when lifting bigger objects where you can't easily reach the controls on the scale's face.There is a user manual but it stops short on a number of features where it states "refer to technical manual",unfortunately the technical manual is not included.As for accuracy, I have to devise a test where I can lift known weights. I'll update if I find any substantial deviation.

It takes 4 AA batteries in the scale itself, and two more in the remote control. As you would expect with an industrial grade scale the batteries in the scale are behind two durable metal doors that are screwed into place. The remote is made from plastic, but a heavier duty grade, and has some heft to it. Unfortunately, one of the metal screws holding the battery cover on must have been impacted on so tight, even though I used a custom fit Phillips head screwdriver, it would not budge, and eventually rounded out. Now I am going to have to go through some hassle to get it out of there without damaging the unit. I know this is an anomaly, and not to be expected since no one else had this problem, and the other three screws between the two compartments came right out. Bummer. I'm going to have to solve this battery cover problem, and then come back and complete this review.

This crane scale is pretty sturdy, and accurate as far as I was able to test and the numbers are nice and big and easy to read. Once it's on, the remote works well, but it can't be turned on via the remote; you have to push the button on the device. This seems like a big oversight, as it limits how and where it can be used effectively. I mean, most of the time you would use this, it would be right next to the load, and you can turn it on when you attach, but what if you want to leave it attached in-line with something that's just out of reach? What is the purpose of the remote not being able to turn it on? Increase the battery life by a few percent? Simplify the onboard circuitry to save a few cents? It doesn't make sense to me, but I guess for most people, most of the time, it won't be an issue, and so if you don't anticipate it being an issue for you, then yes, I would recommend this scale.

Picked this up for weighing deer. The scale works well, easy to read and is accurate enough to give a real good idea of weight. Wouldn't probably trust it for LB sales of product, but when I hung off it it read my weight within 2 pounds of my expected weight. Plenty close enough for deer.Heavy duty metal box construction, batteries are under metal screw in tabs and are secure.

So far it has worked really well. This crane weight has a lot of features for the price and the batteries last for a few uses. I like the remote and user friendly interface. I'm not 100 percent certain how it would hold up in everyday or industrial use. So far we are very satisfied with it and would recommend it over others in similar price range.Hope you found my review helpful :)
