This LED light can be used for small tanks with low light requirement corals, It has a really simple and easy to use controller that let you pick just blue, just white or both on. It also has a timer that is a better version than previous lights and now have a ramp up and down feature and moonlight. It is good for a refugium, backup light. For the length of this light, it should be at least 2 to 3 times more powerful.

Depending on your placement you are going to likely have issues using this light for coral growth in your tank. I have a 125g tank at the bottom it reads between 50-75 PAR about half way into the water (12inches ish) it was reading at 120 par, 6" below surface it was reading at 175ish, right below the surface it was reading at 200ish. This was without the mounting arm(for some reason mine didn't have one) so it was literally 4 inches before the light hit the water. I decided to post this because one piece of info i find missing about corals is the lack of par readings on some of these lights. I know that having it that close can screw with the lenses being used etc etc but I highly doubt the mounting arm would have impacted it significantly except for places further from the light. These reading were done pretty much right under the light.

Being in the process of moving saltwater reef tanks to a new and bigger tank, I needed a basic light just for the time being for my 38 gallon bowfront, before i moved into a new 40 breeder tank. I've had all kinds of lights and just needed something quick, easy, and basic and this light did a great job!✅ TWO MOUNTS: i love that this lights comes with two different ways to mount it. you have the option of a metal arm mount that comes with the light as well as the typical "feet" that comes standard on all bar lights. just know that the metal arm does not allow a lot of front to back movement, so the light is good for tanks that are, a maximum of maybe 12-18" inches wide (front to back).✅ BRIGHT, COOL WHITE: the light is definitely targetted for saltwater with nothing but cool white LEDs, and blue LEDs. the light is a cold white with no yellow/warm tones. whatsoever. it would have been more perfect if the light included more blue tones, like different shades and perhaps a purple. but for a basic reef light. it gets the job done. it's plenty bright, surprisingly, and has no issue illuminating the bottom of my 22" inch tall tank.the pictures reflect a more purple/white shade due to the blues in the light as well as several purple/pink grow lights for plants that i have set up around my room.as far as actually being able to grow corals though, perhaps it's okay for softies and some anemones or gorgonian. but if you're trying to grow sps or acropora, you'll definitely need a more complex and diverse/stronger light. this is a great light for maybe a refugium, basic softie tank, or small nem tank.✅ CONTROLS: the control panel is in line with the power cable and has the basic functions, including dimming by 10 levels, a basic timer, 4 different light modes (different levels of actinic and blues), and your power button.✅ OPERATION: the light itself feels well built and durable, similar to any basic bar light. the arm is strong and secured well to the tank, and the feet that are included extend pretty far left and right before the light itself starts to sag or show any kind of bowing. operation is easy enough to understand without looking at the manual.in all, this is a nice and very basic reef light. it would suffice for a small, nano tank with soft corals or anemones. but if you're looking to actually grow and cultivate corals or sps corals. you definitely need something more advanced with more lighting options. however, for the value and pricing, this is an wonderful beginner friendly or FOWLER tank light. it's plenty bright and even has a nice shimmer through the water when there is movement. i don't really have any negatives to point, considering what it is and its purpose. i like it and it served me well for what i needed it for.⚠️ 📌 OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS ———————————————————♡
