I could not get these to adhere and stay on any material.

I live in Rocky Mountains and have all sorts of coats and outdoor gear. If you purchase well, your stuff lasts a long time. But during that time, more than likely, if you are like me, I have poked holes in my down jacket or camping gear such as a tent or sleeping bag. These patches are great. A wide variety of colors and shapes. I used to buy packages of one color and cut the patch myself. I never could get a perfect circle and half the time the patch would lose the adhesive on the edge where I peeled the patch off the backing. Since all the shapes and sizes are precut, all you need to do is use an exact knife blade to peel it off the backing thereby not disturbing the adhesive on the edges. But you are not limited to using these patches for coats, etc. They can be used on any material. Heck, you can use them for decorative purposes. Well made, colorful and ever so practical. I'd buy a package just to have them on hand for when the need arises.
