Love itI cannot compare to another brand or model because it is the only one i had but i should have bought this tool a decade ago!I'm not able to make a perfect cut that don't need deburring yet, but it is a lot easier than using a zip cut disck!Get a good smokey glass to avoid eye burn if you want to look at the very bright cut while using it. Not like welding, but not so far from this brightness. I learned it the wrong way...Also get a tip kit to have spares and to get a cutting support to save it at some extend.I modified a ruler with strong magnet to make a guide for straighter cuts. You can probably buy one and i would suggest it with this tool.I 'm able to run it full power with just a 30a 240v outlet but according to specs, i should use a 50A outlet....But when i look at the tool power cord with 12awg, i don't think it could trip a 30a breaker without warming up the power cord.I did look at a testing video and they confirmed this model was giving the current expected to cut.Obviously, the provided 120v adapter won't run the tool at high amps. The manual state tool limit under 120v without accounting for the usual 120v 15a breaker from the breaker panel. I didn't try it and i won't suggest it.The starting system work well. it need to chew some metal to keep going. you have to start at the edge of your metal piece and find the correct pace. I played with amps and pressure but the main point seem to be the speed you take to move the tip that makes the more difference on the cut result. (More or less deburing)My only complaint is the plastic air regulator on the back limited at 90 psi. Most garage run at higher pressure so i have to use a second better grade regulator to drop it first from 150 to 90....There is a safety valve that pop if you try too much pressure before the plastic body broke but i have no clue if it could last long between 90 and the safety pressure and i don't really want to know...

Grabbed this plasma cutter after hearing good things about it online. Does a great job and was not hard to set up. It did have an issue with the plug not being correct out of the box when shipped, but an adapter was quickly sent when I called the seller and it works great. Be careful to purchase the correct consumables. Only the Yeswelder ignighters seem to work properly for the instant start function for me. That said still a five star rating because I’m so pleased with the results and low price point. My hobby use needs are more than met here. Everything I was hoping for in an entry level unit.

I've done fabrication work for 20yrs. I've always had Miller or brand name equipment. I decided to save some money and try an Amazon plasma cutter per say. I will say it's a nice unit, quality is good but not as great as Miller. You get what you pay for. All that means for example is, the plasma torch lead is cheap. Just 1/4" poly air line in a big heat shrink like protective cover. Not solid hard protective rubber like higher cost models. Which is expected at the price. Cut wise it does great! Cuts 1/2" and thicker plate no problem. Was quite impressed. Cuts clean. Extra consumables and parts are easy to get. Would definitely recommend!

My husband said this wasn't working at first, but after playing around a bit, this rascal cuts clean. Went through a couple tips, but it works.
