This protector prevents stains and oils from splattering onto the wall adjacent to your stove countertop. It has worked moderately well for me but the application was a bit annoying due to the protector not sticking on effectively. Over time, I noticed minor bubbles would appear all throughout, ruining the aesthetics of the wall. I am no longer using this in my kitchen but can see this being useful for others.

This stove backsplash wall protector isn’t easy to install if need to put part of it behind the stove, as it requires to be put on the wall the faster the better after it’s rolled out. My husband and I managed to set it up together. After cleaning the wall surface getting rid of the existing splashed oil, my husband held the left side onto the wall with his left hand while using his right hand making sure the top part of the film isn’t clinging to the oily stovetop microwave above. Meanwhile I rolled out the film further and slide its bottom behind the stove till all of the film is on the wall then cut as straight as possible on the right end. After that, I marked a straight line to do the final trimming to line up with the tiles.If installation doesn’t involve putting part of it behind the stove then it’s pretty easy to set up. Roll out the film onto the wall after cleaning and cut a straight line and that’s it.I like that the film is very see through, able to let us see our original tiles on the wall clearly. It can be wiped clean easily with a damp cloth which is convenient. The only thing is it doesn’t attach to the wall completely flat, shown on the photos attached here under different lighting, the unevenness is more noticeable under dim light. But I think mainly it’s because my tiles are very small, there are more gaps to let the air in. The bigger the tile surface the more flat it can attach to by the statics. I’m just glad this works for my wall with small tiles. It’s been a month since it’s installed and it’s staying put nicely.Overall this is a decent quality product, gives protection to the backsplash tiles, keeps them clean without hiding the original wall look. The small negatives I mentioned above are due to our own situation needing to put partially behind the stove and our tiles are very small. And it still works well in our case, so I’m giving this a 5 stars rating.

This item came as a roll of film that sticks like a decal.I say film, but the material is about as thick as 5 sheets of paper and is similar to the clear bra material used for cars.The electrostatic adhesion is really handy. I found that I'm using it to line the inside of my microwave as well as other high-shine surfaces. At first I was just using it for the actual backsplash, but I'm finding so many great uses for this that it's definitely a 5-star item.Basically, I just remove this film and throw it in the dishwasher's upper rack and turn of the heated features.I do not recommend that everyone use a dishwasher for this as I believe it would melt too easily, but handwashing is also a breeze and dishsoap restores the electrostatic properties.I wish it could stick to textured paint (walls) but that's definitely too much to ask. I don't use it for dry-erase boards, but it certainly protects certain surfaces that I hadn't thought of before.

I wish I put a clear backsplash before I moved into the new home but I'm happy that I have one now. I like that the clear backsplash is easy to clean with soap and water keeping that area free from chemicals near the food. I like that the backsplash is removable and reusable. The film can be used to protect furniture from pets or placed behind the garbage can. I plan to get more rolls so I can place them in areas like behind the garbage and on the wall where the cat food and water are located. This film is great for any area that gets messy and it also protects the furniture. Overall, I'm glad for this film behind the stove because it has made cleaning food messes easier and leaves my stove super clean.

We're getting ready to have our kitchen redone. We bought all new appliances for Christmas (Black Friday deal). We needed something for the backslash behind the new slide in stove to cover the area the old stoves control panel used to cover, and this wall protector worked perfectly. I cut the exact size we needed, held it up to the area needing to be covered, and it clung right to the existing tile backslash, covering the area that needed to be covered! The electrostatic thing worked great! I smoothed it out and it does exactly what we hoped for.
