It was the perfect replacement in a Dell Inspiron 5502. My wife, a hardware technician, installed it. It worked as expected. It was very affordable, too.

This "dc in power jack cable" works in my Dell Inspiron 5505. For some reason, the original cable frayed and separated from the plugin port. So, I ordered this part and it works! I can now charge my laptop again!*Update, around 3 months after purchase:The power jack needs to be replaced again: the wires completely separated from the port. Seems to me this is a problem with the design of the laptop?Not changing the star rating because it does what it is supposed to do, it just might not last very long. Or I could have a faulty machine, who knows!
