The first one received wasn't recognized by Windows. I tried everything, but it just wouldn't work.I exchanged it for a new one. It arrived quickly, and works great for connecting my Playstation 2 controller to PC! Plug-and-play, no problems at all!

El adaptador no sirve, la computadora lo reconoce como control de PS3, pero no detecta ningún control ni ningún tipo de entra. Solo da input constante del botón 13, pero no detecta ningún otro botón.

No funciona con guitarras de Guitar Hero para PlayStation 2. Olvídense de este artículo, de plano no funciona. Te reconoce la guitarra pero se presionan todos los botones cuando presionas cualquier botón. No hay manera de configurarlo bien, puesto que es de parte del adaptador (he probado varios, y este ha sido el peor). Lo configure directamente con aplicaciones especializadas para este tipo de controles e inclusive con Windows directamente. Se confirmó que problema va desde la raíz, osea el adaptador.No compren este artículo, busquen otros adaptadores.

Recibi el producto sin ningun problema. Lo use para conectar mis controles de PS2 a mi PC . Despues de una configuracion inical , todo funciono a la perfeccion.

I bought this cable to play clone hero on my pc with a ps2 guitar hero controller. It works great!No 3rd party program needed to map the keys. Just go into clone hero & map the keys as you like.Tilting the guitar did register as a button, but as other reviews have covered, it registers as the same as the whammy bar. But I never really use the whammy bar so that's fine.

Lo compre para jugar guitar hero en PS3 con una guitarra de PS2, además puedes usar los controles de tu PS2 en tu PS3, lo recomiendo si esto es lo que buscas.

I bought this so I could use an old Dualshock 2 PS2 controller as an alternative to buying an expensive new one. It works out of the box, but I've come across some technical issues I'm still trying to solve. Some games seem to recognize it, but others don't--Celeste, for example, doesn't recognize that there's a controller plugged in. My main issue, though, is that the key bindings seem to be scrambled; when I set up the controller for a new game, I have to change the controller settings because it'll think that X is the right joystick button or Square is options, and I believe one of the buttons even reads as a touchpad from future versions of the controller. It works just fine once I assign the buttons, but it makes in-game button prompts confusing. The joysticks and directional buttons don't have this problem. My advice: If you buy this adapter, be prepared to do some troubleshooting and workarounds, and keep the box in case it doesn't work out.

I liked that the product actually did work as intended and for some games it does a better job than some wireless controllers. However, there was one game it didn't do well in for me but aside from that the product is fantastic.

Cable does work with ps2 controller connected to pc usb port. May need some minor attention to work properly in games though. May even need scarlet crush productions to setup the controller so the pc sees it as a xbox controller. I seem to have had an issue where the d-pad remapping function the same as the left analog stick mapping. Some games access the inventory screen via the d-pad and with the d-pad moving the player along with the left analog stick, well, you see the issue. PCSX2 helps clear this issue up when remapping the buttons, however, EpcsxE only seems to move the player with the d-pad and left analog stick. Perhaps we need to take into account the fact that ps1 vanilla did not have analog sticks at first, then this function makes sense. As long as it works properly for PS2 games then everything else is ok dealing with the possible nuance. The item was $7.99 when i purchased it, i only purchased one to make sure it worked. Went back to buy another and now it's $9.49, darn amazon!Will watch in favs and buy again when price reduces =)
