Opening these up they're a perfect fit for a 2016 Subaru Outback 2.5L. The filter came in a 3-pack, the packing was secured and taped helping up supporting the boxes not breaking open, and they have plastic over the filter preventing debris from getting inside.Functionally, they're filters and should be solid on doing the job. The value in the 3-pack is great for anyone saving a bit of money on number of pieces and handling the oil change yourself.No leakage is apparent at the time of install and it visually adheres to the engine as one should expect. Great fit for any DIYer.

I am cautious to give a poor review but this GEATaaT 15208AA21A engine oil filter is not going to protect your engine. I have done a lot of research on what makes a good engine oil filter and this one is just not doing the job.The external gasket has a rounded edge and that does not fit the flat seal for your engine. It may hold the pressure if you torque it enough, I did not try it.There is no rating if it will filter 2 or 5 microns - a typical rating for an oil filter - so I cannot tell what good it may do. The filter media looks good but there are only 48 pleats and most filters have 55 to 60. Also, the filter height is much shorter than you find inside a normal filter and there is a large spring that fills up space that should be occupied by pleats of filter material. There is a small pressure relief valve at the base but I think it is inadequate to give you proper lubrication once the filter media is saturated.Lastly, and most critical, the backflow valve is made of orange silicone as it should but it is very thin and does not have a tight fit or is thick enough to prevent your oil from draining back to the sump. This means every time you start your engine it will not have that primed oil ready to lubricate your engine.There are too many deficiencies in the design and construction of this filter for me to recommend you install it on your vehicle.
