I'm not sure why?But I am still having a hard time getting fm signal through my radio local stations. I did move some of my wires to the radio and it did help some.

Installed in my Subaru. Radio reception was not very good. I thought it was the antenna in the left rear window. I connected power to radio power so it was on whenever the radio was on. Signal was so much worse. AM basically useless, FM reception very poor. Removed it and signal was back to original.

Makes a huge difference in pulling distant stations. I was skeptical when purchasing due to negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised when I turned it on. FM Stations over 50 miles came in clear when did not come in prior

An FM station I like has a poor signal at my house so I ordered this to help in my truck. It was not especially easy to install but when powered up added ZERO signal strength to that station. I verified this by doing a temporary wire up of the FM signal amplifier I use in the house which instantly brought in the station and many others I previously could not get.Bottom line: tearing into your dash to install this on your FM radio will be an exercise in futility.Note: All AM signals were completely eliminated.
