How It Works
Stage 1: Pre-Filter
20 Micron pre-filter catches rust, sediment and silt so that the ion-exchange can filter out heavy metals like lead and mercury.
Stage 2: Activated Carbon
Reduces organic chemicals like pharmaceuticals, herbicides, pesticides, and other volatile organic chemicals. Improves the overall taste of your water and removes chlorine odor.
Stage 3: Catalytic Carbon
The Ion-exchange reduces heavy metals like lead and mercury. Sub Micron (0.5) Mechanical Filtration captures asbestos and chlorine resistant cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium. Reduces chloramines - the by product of chlorine and ammonia used in water disinfection.
Performance Promise
Removes up to 99% of 77 contaminants including: chlorine taste, odor, and particulates, cryptosporidium, lead, asbestos, herbicides, detergents, 'emerging' pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and other volatile organic chemicals. I bought AQ5300+ and wanted to buy a stand by replacement filter for it. The recommended filter as buy together is very misleading, especially when it was labelled "For use with AQ5300". I have no choice but to return and refund it.Appreciate the quick refund by Amazon.

Bought Aquasana 3 bottle system directly from them 1 year ago. Had difficulties installing but they have great customer service and it works very well once installed. Bought replacement filters thru Amazon as when I purchased directly from Aquasana, I had to pay custom duties which was almost as much as the product

We had no issues buying bottled water from Costco, the Kirkland brand for years until a whole cases tasted like petroleum (gasoline or diesel). I couldn't tell for sure as I never drunk any before. That was it...we have never touched bottled water again. We purchased the Aquasana under the sink filtration system and never looked back.The filters last us about 6 months, the water is fresh, no petroleum taste, no chemicals, no drugs. Very easy to install, just twist and install. It starts beeping when it needs replacing. The price is cheaper than Home Depot and Lowes. So far we had the system for about 3 years and we always buy it from Amazon because of the subscription price. We decided to do subscription as you can modify the interval for the next shipment and we are saving money on a product we buy anyway.Happy customers, no complaints.

Ease of use, but not sure the filters work well. Water quality is almost the same when measured by device before and after the filters....
