Just so we're clear, you should buy one size UNDER your regular street shoe size (whatever size your sneakers are). I wear size 9 sneakers and bought these in size 8; they fit me like a glove and are wonderful to dance in. This is my first pair of ballroom shoes ever and I've only had them a few days so I haven't used them long enough to tell about the quality of the suede soles, but the stitching and overall quality is really good and well worth the $100+ price tag (and they look amazing). I used them at my first ever competition and felt like a million bucks! Would recommend.

This is my first pair of dance shoes. I bought this pair of shoes after taking a few lessons to see if I liked to dance. I did not know exactly what pair to buy and after doing some research and asking friends, they recommended it. I have been using them for a few months and I like them. They are true to size and they look very good quality. The leather is soft and looks nice. I got the clear tan model, not the black one and I am happy with it. I recommend this product.

My second pair. My first pair is still in excellent shape but after six months of dancing four nights a week, the soles are almost ready for new felt, and this pair will go into service while the other pair is at the repair shop. FYI, I wear an 8.5 in soccer cleats and a 9 in dress shoes, but the 8 is a PERFECT fit for dance. I did NOT like the Capezios (ordered two pair, returned both). Capenzios are less expensive but the stitching inside the tongue was very uncomfortable, and the they did not flex across the vamp nearly as well. This is just a much better shoe and worth the additional cost.
