This is the third time that we have had to return this item. The first order arruved was the incorrect color inside the box which was color labeled correctly and was returned. The second one that we ordered arrived in the correct color; however the display panel on the base is unable to read.

The reviews are true. The LED screens are defective. Too bad because it's a beautiful kettle. Going to order a Fellow's Stagg instead.

Great temp control and pours real nice like! Have been using for a couple months and it seems to be cranking out hot water as described, so in our world it is a hit!

I use this product daily to make my favorite oolong teas. It will keep your water at the temps you choose for an hour then turn off, and it also has a timer so you can know exactly how long you steeped your tea. It has presets for different types of tea and the base does not get hot, neither does the bottom of the kettle. The gooseneck on it makes for precise pouring and it is small enough you can put it anywhere. There is the smallest bit of the plastic that is connected to the handle that is in the kettle but it is above the water line. It takes roughly around 3-4 minutes to reach 185F on this kettle so the boil time is short. Bonavita kettles are known to last for decades which is why I bought mine. I love this kettle like it is my own child :D

I purchased this Variable Temperature Kettle to replace an older version of the same product. After 10+ years, and using the kettle on a daily basis, the kettle sprang a leak last week (the base is still functional). I love its look, size, and variety of available water temperatures, as well as the ability to adjust the cord length… but since my hands are smaller and a bit arthritic, I especially like the size of the handle. I have high hopes that the quality of this kettle is equal to my previous kettle.
