This is our third try on different units. Both the first and second units were made by different companies. Both were made of all plastic parts and both leaked and were hard to get apart for cleaning. We found this this unit and decided to give it a try before giving up and going back to a water bowl. We are happy to say that this was a great purchase as it doesn't leak and is easy to get apart for cleaning. I highly recommend you give this unit a try.

Review of: Portable Dog Water Bottle, 24 OZ, Stainless Steel Leak Proof Puppy Water DispenserThe bottle is stainless steel and the "bowl" is a hard plastic. There is a button that opens a hole so the water can flow from the bottle into the bowl, as well as a slider that locks the button so that it cannot be pushed accidentally. The bowl is a little smaller than a tennis ball.I got for dogs I help take care of. The routine is taking a large bowl on walks is a little tedious, so I thought this could help.While the bottle works great, I'm having a hard time getting her to drink from it. In this case, I think it's because she's got a routine and this isn't it.What I'd say if you're considering buying it is: If you're dog is older or is not very adaptable to a new routine, expect no interest or outright rejection.What I'm going to try to do is put the bottle's bowl down by her big bowl and see if I can get her to consider drinking from it, maybe with a treat. Then slowly move her to the new bottle. Until then, I give it 4 stars. I'm docking a star as a reserve to see if the bottle lasts at least a year. The part I'm concerned about is that the button might stick or the spring break and it stops functioning. Then it will be just a bottle with a bowl that I have to screw off to use, which isn't really better than putting a larger bowl down and pouring water into it from another bottle.

I purchased this because I always forget about bowl for my dog when we travel! Water is easy enough to find in an emergency but with nothing to drink it from.... that's the issue I was solving with this!We bike and travel a LOT and are away from home and the waterer... my dog likes "moving water" so this fits the bill! Water trickles into the little cup, which is SMALL I have a20lb dog and it's perfect for him... when he finishes drinking dump out the bowlNot a lot of waste and with a 24oz reservoir and approx a 4oz "bowl" you can fill the bowl 6 times if need be.I hang out from the shopping bag hammers on the back of my seats or put it in my bike basket when biking.I like that it's stainless steel and so far, no leaking

This is a nice large water bottle for our dog. We use it at the beach and it works well. Arrived on time and as promised.
