I babysit for my 4 month old and I found it very easy to get his baby seat in and out of the car. It’s nice because he fell asleep on the ride home and being able to let him in the seat and not disturb his sleeping was wonderful. You just unlatch the whole seat.

We originally just had the infant seat without the base. Do not recommend car seat only; base is a MUST HAVE.Easier removal and much more secure with the base.

I have a 2016 Corolla and getting the base clicked into the car seat anchors is terrible. The instructions indicate that pushing the red button on top allows the click in straps to lengthen to allow it to be crammed between the seat cushions to lock onto the anchor. Yeah, there is about an inch of give in the length. It takes two of us twenty minutes of blood sweat and tears to push the seat down hard enough to manage it.Part of the problem is that you can't see what your doing so you just have to try and position the mouth of the clip in that "sweet spot" so it engages. What makes this more difficult is the poor design of the click tight handle. You need to be shoving it down and back but it's shaped like a small rectangular piece so there's no way to grab it and get any leverage. If you put your hand on the red latch on the end of it to better push, you are then opening that latch.I'm sure some cars are a better fit than others and ours has a middle fold-up center arm rest which makes it even harder to adjust the angle once it's in place. Our grandson is 6 months old so we bought our own base. Once we got the damn thing in my husband declared "We aren't taking it out again until he's in high school".Problem is, when we need to fold either of the back seat sections down to accommodate something we're transporting in the trunk, we will have to release the base and reinstall it afterward! Arrghh!No other complaints but I would not buy another Britax model like this again.
