I wasnt sure what I was getting into when I purchased this awning originally but as soon as I opened the package I realized everything was going to be okay.First thing I thought was wow, is the protective bag ever tough, and the zipper was huge and sealed up so tight. The polished stainless brackets were massive and fully adjustable to any width. After a bunch of forceful convincing I managed to bend mine slightly to match the curve of the rails on my roof and now it sits perfectly straight. Mounting the awning wasn't perfectly self explanatory and it took a little bit of ingenuity but eventually I managed to get it mounted tight.When you open the bag the zipper slides smoothe and doesn't bind at all but I'd still recommend a bit of oil on it at the beginning of every summer to keep it that way.It unfolds really controllably and the arms and legs stay put until you're actually ready to use them.The next but is a little challenging but if you're physically coordinated or at least have a friend you'll be fine. The legs come down and extend fairly easily, just like those twisty style shower curtain rods. Then you need to extend the arm and slip them into place, this will more less complete the shape of the awning but that's easier said than done.I learned to lean the now extended and very loose sheet out as far as possible but leaning it on its extended legs at a very extreme angle so it won't fall back in on itself. God forbid there's any wind when you're trying to do this or its not happening. If you do manage to get both arms extended and into place before a breeze takes it down then you're all set. The rest is a piece of cake you could do with your eyes closed.The much easier option is bring a friend. There's no possible easy way to set this up by yourself but with the help of another person it couldn't be any easier.Sure it's made of thin aluminum, but it needs to be. It's super, super lightweight, and even my 70 year old mother can set hers up by herself if it's calm out.Once you add the stakes and ropes this thing becomes invincible. Bring it on, storms!!I love this awning and I absolutely would buy it again without hesitation.

Ideal para pasar un día de campo , fácil de instalar se pliega Perfecto y los materiales son muy buenos , lo puedes hacer solo sin problema

It came out better than what I expected, is solid at the attachment and hopefully staying like that till van is no more operable, I installed straight to my vantech roof racks, I did the hole in to it no to close to the main bean so I can put the nut behind an have space to set the socket or wrench, at the pictures is where I customize the way I did the holes to tie the awning up, did it using the same L shape brackets to mark where the holes need to be and bammmm , set the screws where I tough it was going to be and hook on 1 side first than move the bolts a little and hook the other put the nuts and move to other side for the other nuts and tie up all and it took me less than 30 minutes taking trash to container too lol and opening it up and set back, love it! I can used it when I'm working and is raining and I can use it when I go on my camping trips.

Five stars for communication. I haven’t opened it yet but they shipped it to me expeditiously!! Came with all hardware but I need to customize for my application. Update 28 Oct 2020; with about eight trips under my belt, this awning has done nothing but satisfy my needs. I would suggest coding it with some form of water repellent or seam sealer. Aside from that no complaints
