Really impressed with this. Straight when it arrived the packaging was good, and felt like a professional product.Everything was clearly provided and it was super easy to assemble.Really lightweight and easy to pack down again as well which is always a great bonus, excited to use it on lots of great adventures soon, so far it's only had a night in the garden but it served us well and is a great tent.

Width. I ordered this tent at the last minute for my Alaska camping trip because my prior backpacking tent was too skinny to accommodate our new wider sleeping pads. At first, this tent seemed it might be too skinny also, but, with use, it proved to be the perfect width necessary. This was also one of the wider tents I could find on Amazon that still was on the lighter side for weight.Surrounding Mesh. The 360-degree view this tent offers is amazing. We unfortunately didn't get to take advantage of it when viewing the northern lights (another reason this tent caught my attention for my trip) because of overnight rain. I'm excited for when I do get to use it for that reason though! Oh yeah, the holes in the mesh were small enough that it kept out all the pesky Alaskan mosquitoes--great bonus. The one concern I have with the surround mesh is its durability...one accidental tear from a sharp rock and there that goes, or so it seems. I will say though that, on one particular night while camping on the bay (see picture), it was so incredibly windy--I'm guesstimating gusts of 35+ mph--that I thought the mesh was going to tear in multiple places, particularly where it connected to the tent poles. I was pleasantly surprised to wake the next morning to an intact tent. If anything changes on this front, I will update my review.Rainfly. This worked great to keep the rain out while retaining some warmth in the tent on those low- to mid-30 degree nights. However, the downside of its ability to retain the warmth was its lack of sufficient ventilation. I normally would not have a problem with that except that it caused condensation on the INSIDE of the rainfly. The moisture was a nuisance to deal with, especially since were were on the go and mornings were cold--no time or place to put the rainfly to let it dry off before packing it up.Assembly and disassembly. Easy and fast. Loved it, with the exception of the rainfly-condensation issue (explained above).Overall, I would recommend this tent for your backpacking or longer roadtrip adventures. I hope it holds up for years (fingers crossed)!

(Update 2019-09-29, for the 1p tent. 2p review is below the line...)Though I fully appreciated the 2p tent, as noted below, I found myself rolling around in it with too much space for one person. I had to wait almost a year for the 1p to become available, but oh am I glad I have it now! This tent is nearly PERFECT. It’s just exactly the right size, beautifully made, and I get happy every time I look at it. I had bought a different 1p tent, but it was just a tad short and narrow. This tent gives me just enough room to each side, and is long enough that I can fit my 65L backpack above my head and still have room to sleep. It’s beautifully appointed. The entry zipper works great and never jams, the rainfly is adequately ventilated if set up properly. It sets up in no time at all. The pockets at the corners are much appreciated. And it was very thoughtful to put a small zippered opening on the non entry side to get at those things like your boots you might want to stash under the rainfly on the non-entry side. Love, love, love it!If there just one thing I could ask for, it would be a zipper on the non-entry side of the rainfly so that it can be opened and rolled up like the entry side, and maybe a full entry on both sides. But even as-is it’s as perfect as I ever could expect.P.S. Check out the view I woke up to after a nice bug-free nap with the rain fly removed at the end of the trail my first day. :)======= 2p review from earlier ==========I love this tent. I liked it from the first time I set it up but waited until I got it into the field to write this. First, it’s super easy to set up even with one person. Just lay out the footprint and the tent, extend the poles and put the ends into the eyelets at the corners of the footprint and tent. You don’t have to string the poles through anything because the tent easily clips to the poles! Just put the second end of the pole into the opposite corner eyelet, then fasten a clip or two and the tent starts to take shape. Work your way around, fastening the remainder of the clips and viola! Insta-tent. The rain-fly goes over the top and simply ties onto the poles from underneath. Seriously, this tent can be set up in under 5 minutes easily. The floor to ceiling mesh is great IMO. Sure, without the rain fly there’s no privacy, but you can lay in the tent and feel almost as if you’re outside but without the bugs. I especially appreciated this on my first trip as it was hot, there were no neighbors, and the bugs were atrocious. There was no chance of rain, so slept under the moon and awoke looking up at the trees swaying in the breeze above me. The interior of the tent is roomy. I’m just shy of 6’ and there was plenty of room at the head and foot. It would have been spacious even for two. The mesh pockets are super handy. The zippers work great and don’t get constantly stuck in covering flaps like every other tent I’ve seen. If you do have the rain fly on it’s really easy to unhook the flaps from the steaks and easily roll them up and hold them with the thoughtful tie-outs.The only caution is it all seems a bit delicate. That all mesh construction just feels like it could fail under abuse. But, with taking my time and taking caution to carefully stake things down I believe it’s going to last a long time. I did have a problem with one of the tie-outs on the rain fly tearing. Be sure to put the stakes in before attaching the tie-out so as to not over-stress the seam. Hyke and Byke customer service provided a warranty replacement within a few days. I think the tear was just a fluke as everything else is ship-shape. And the excellent customer service more than made up for this little issue. All that to say ... treat it as a light-weight piece of backpacking gear and not a military pup-tent and everything will be fine.(BTW, the weigh-out difference for this tent + sleeping pad vs. that of a hammock, straps, tarp, bug-net, underquilt, etc. is negligible. I know, I have weighed them both.)
