It’s good, the app is good also! 2 concerns!1. app does not tell you when food is being dispensed on timer2. Fish flakes will clog the tray so be very carefulOther than that it works good exact timing on timer, down to the seconds.

Buy it buy it buy it.The way this machine made my life easier is amazing. Feeds fishes on time.I uses flakes and the flakes do not get stuck.You can set the amount also to feed the fishes.Talk about no more stress, especially when on vacation.10/10.

I bricked my old battery powered feeder by briefly dunking it, I did a lot of research and this was really the only viable wifi/plugged in option. I am actually very pleasantly surprised by its excellence and the value for money it represents, and I’m not easily impressed.So, the app is wonky and clearly built on very poorly translated Chinese, but once you figure out what certain misapplied words stand for it works well and captures a great longitudinal data log of all feedings, manual and auto.It can run on a usb-A wire alone and can also have AA back up if you want. You can pick up to six auto feeds per day but you can have your choice of multiple “shares” (intended to mean rotations of the feeder) per feeding.I’ve had about 200 rotations in the month I’ve owned it. Works reliably and flawlessly. So much better than having to change AA batteries monthly and also beats resetting the clock and reprogramming all feedings on a crappy black and white LCD screen every time like its competition.So yeah, spend the extra few bucks (or save a few, some of the battery non-wifi units cost more than this) and enjoy much less hassle and expense and track it all automatically to boot. Your anthias and chromis (certainly my bimacs and chromis love it!) will thank you for it in the form of possibly not dying for looking at them funny at least for awhile for it!

I liked the fact that I could program it for my own schedule. Plus remote feed as needed. Something that's already understood with these types of units is that flake food doesn't Work as well, But it still works. it's just not as consistent as pellets or floating foods.

What I purchased as new seemed to be used in some way. At first I didn’t pay much attention to the fish food flake stuck in the larger drum, but when trying to set up WiFi I had to reset the device (power cord) to pair with my phone. It sure mounted as “Mike’s Feeder”.Anyway, the feeder is fairly complete, even in the two AA batteries were not included. There are two drum sizes, but both dispense about the same amount per comparable setting. It’s very sensitive to the food. Using tropical fish pellets, the second notch fed almost nothing while notch three dumped a lot of food.The included funnel and mounting options are great. Although the buttons allow easy usage, it really seems to be intended to be controlled via WiFi. This is where you control custom time intervals (beyond once or twice per day) and the number of turns (“shares”) per feeding.I’m currently torn between the WiFi connectivity (great) and the finicky dosage adjustment (not great).
