This gem art is ok. There is another more popular brand that I prefer. The main difference is the way you stick them to the window is more noticeable on this brand and the gems themselves aren't quite as sticky. If I had used this brand first though, I would still have been a fan. If your kids like gem art, this is a good set to start with. We love these for travel.

This gem art come with 10 colors and 2 different size of gems and there are 2 beautiful design. The colors are very pretty and bright. We just place the design on the color guide and start placing the gems on the correct size and color.The gems does come off easily though, some of the gem was out of the plastic when we receive them. Other than that, this is a really nice crafts for my kids to enjoy. My daughters love spending time on it and enjoy doing it together. It also comes with double sided tape to paste it on the window.

I got this to make as part of a craft party for myself and some other adults; even though it's meant for children, I thought it was a really fun little activity. It comes with all the materials that you need to make both designs that are included (which I thought was really great, as some craft kits come with two options you can make but only have enough materials for one of them). It comes with a little booklet that has some suggestions as to how you might like to fill in the designs with the different colored gems that are included (kind of like paint by number) but also suggests that you allow your child the creative freedom to fill in the designs however they want to, and has enough different gemstones that you could certainly do that if you wished.If you are going with one of the included templates, I do recommend taking the time to get some tape and tape your piece over the booklet so that everything aligns correctly; it is a little difficult to remove or move any of the little gemstones once you have placed them down. I ended up being very happy with the end result and it looks super pretty on the window in the sunlight.My one complaint is that the inner packaging where the gemstones are all together on their little sheets could possibly be improved; when I opened the package, a few of the gems had fallen off of their backing paper and gotten stuck to something else, so I couldn't use them for the project. Like I said though, it comes with plenty of gemstones, so it wasn't a big problem!

The first thing you should know is this is a really fun activity kit for kids of the proper age. They advise 6+ and I certainly wouldn’t go younger than that. Creating a colorful sun catcher proved to be fin and engaging. The only issue is that no matter what you do, you’re probably going to end up with some colored gems on your floor.
