This is a great choke collar. It's sturdy and won't break. It's manufactured in Germany. It's not too heavy for my pit bull. Here he is comfortably eating peanut butter out of a Kong with the choke chain on.My pit bull, at 4 years old and with no other incidents, bit a small dog at the dog park and nearly killed him. My vet said pit bulls are prone to surprise attacks that the owners feel are out of character for the dog. The vet recommended that the dog wear this at all times, even in the house, just to be safe. Once a pit bull bites, there's a "locking" function in their jaws so that it's very hard to remove the dog from the victim. The only way to remove the dog in a bite frenzy is to choke the dog so that the pit bull has to gasp for air.My husband was worried about my getting my finger stuck in the loop if it was an emergency, and I had to use the chain when the dog is off the leash here at home. So we got a small 2" strap to attach to it. (The strap can't be large so he doesn't choke accidentally) Our pit bull is fine with the collar and the little light "handle."

Personalmente no me gusta usarlo pero mi perro si se calma en lo jalones cuando lo uso. Así que cumple su función.

When used and fitted properly this is a useful training tool. It has smooth rounded edges to prevent snagging. The key is to keep your leash loose and only slightly apply corrective pressure when needed. This has worked wonders on my German Shepherd to stop pulling and train proper social behaviour. This training device has transitioned to a better overall leash walking experience when not used and we are back to harness walking with no more pulling. We use it in short training sessions.

La calidad del collar es muy buena, y permite hacer corrección a tu mascota de una manera mas eficaz, sobre todo si tienes un perro bastante fuerte.

Simplemente los collares más confiables, a un excelente precio. Yo tengo tres perros muy fuertes y estos collares me han ayudado mucho, recomendados por él adiestrados de mis canes.

pretty solid chain, my dog is about 75lbs, very energetic, and not very obedient on leash (my fault mostly). Ive found that with the choke collar, im able to restrain her better - she doesnt try to bolt as much - and get her to walk in step with me. The sound the chain makes as its being pulled through the loop seems to work like an audible command, and she knows that she to hang back till im in step with her. In summary, i think its a good training device.

I have a very strong pitt bull and this choke chain really helps keep her from pulling. It is still early in her training and it is getting better. I actually ride my bike and she runs along side me on the leash and this collar makes it more sensitive signal to her the direction we are going in and when she gets distracted I can just tug the leash very softly and she reacts well to it. The collar is far superior quality to what I could find in my local stores.
