These items are poor quality, but they do have a price that reflects that.The tablecloth is the thickness and material that feels like plastic wrap. It is barely heavy enough to hold itself down.The plates are fine. The cups are laughably small. The banner is extremely difficult to put together.The decorations come with glue dots that don’t adhere to the sticks- I had to use tape.The balloons are fine- not all have decorations on them.All in all, I would suggest you pay a few more dollars and get a better quality set.

It has everything needed for a small birthday celebration table. Pretty, large plastic tablecloth (fits an 8-person table). It had a very strong chemical odor when I first opened it, but it aired very quickly.Nice paper plates (two sizes), napkins, and cups. The balloons have cute prints, and there are various toppers. The toppers come with some circle clear sheets that I could not figure out how to use to assemble. I ended up just using regular tape instead.There is also a "happy birthday" banner that requires assembly. The letters and holes in the letters are not fully punctured. They come with a floss and a plastic needle. The letters were not sorted in order, which was annoying. I ended up with A and Y in "Birthday" the same color (blue) while none of the other colors repeated elsewhere. But to fix that I'd have to undo the entire garland and switch with A from "Happy".

I’m just really frustrated. This is the second time we’ve ordered a spindle and it was missing from the box. The packaging looks opened and it’s not in there. This being the second time I’ve ordered it, my son REALLY wants to climb those stairs. I have the gate, I’ve just been waiting for the spindle to put the gate up. I ordered it with something else in the order and right now it doesn’t look returnable. Ugh. Frustrating and disappointing. Has never happened with another product.

Works perfectly. Bought a Regalo gate for the bottom of the stairwell ("Regalo Easy Open 50 Inch Wide Baby Gate, Bonus Kit, Includes 6-Inch and 12-Inch Extension Kit, With Both Pressure and Wall Mount Kits"). In order to fit the Kidco Y spindle, we did have to remove the plastic piece from the Regalo gate using pliers (very easy to do). After that, the fit was perfect. The whole setup is very sturdy and stands up to our 13-month-old's pushing/pulling. Overall, very pleased.

I just happened upon this listing one day, I don't even know how. It has truly changed my life, simply because it's so convenient and USEFUL. Before, we had the flat thingy pressed against our round newel post. I would knock it off every time I bumped into it or hit it in any horizontal way, for the last YEAR. It wasn't a huge deal until I noticed that the paint on the wall on the other side was starting to chip from the pressure. Just about that time, I found this thingy. Yep. TOTALLY changed things. The Y shape is rather large, so it not only fits on a thin post like in the picture. Our post is about 3" diameter and I know the Y would fit over a larger post as well. Probably up to about 4"?

My stairway has a wall-like base at the bottom and spindles on both sides all the way up. The spindles are set back far enough that the Y-spindle is at it's maximum and a little budge of the gate sends it out of alignment. The gate then does not close properly. It just takes a push to fix, but would work better if the shaft was longer. Great idea though.
