Strong and thick gauge metal construction. The paint coating chips away super easy but not a concern to me. Could be power coated if they want it to be more permeant.

Love this thing! Use it every day in a professional environment the only complaint is the magnetic needs to be a little larger it falls off sometimes with just hanging the hose up to fast.

The magnet is strong enough to hold on ferrous metal. Able to support hose end without tools. If you have a light weight blow gun or perhaps single chuck tire inflator it will support that combined weight. Anything else will cause it to shift and slide down from magnetic anchor point.The slot for holding your fastener is sufficient width to hold at the threaded section. At ball swivel sections or anywhere on a 3/8 inch high volume hose. Probably would have to be enlarged to support 1/2 inch hose/fittings.Rates 4 stars but 5th is for a 2nd duplicate item in the package for the single unit price of $12.51.
