Three years ago I bought two of these devices to control the timing of a plant watering system. I use a regular 7 day AC timer to set watering times, then the timer to control cycling of water pump. I used mode 3.2 which without trigger is to energize (OP mode), then deenergize(CL mode), then repeat LOP times. This has worked fine for over 3 years. Just recently I started setting up the second unit purchased in same order. I found it starts in the CL mode, then the OP mode, and then cycles LOP times. I could find no way to get both units to operate in the same manner. For my application, this is not a problem, but someone needing one of the OP -> CL cycles (vs CL -> OP) will find the timer doesn't function as described. Great little device, I hope someone has found a hidden setting that would make both devices operate identically. (I experimented with trigger input as well - no effect in this mode)UPDATE: I found doing a "long press" of the UP button toggled the OP->CL or CL->OP sequence. The display flashes F1 or F2 briefly to show the mode, but you need to keep track which "F" you are setting as doing a long press on DOWN toggles a different F1 & F2. This state controls whether OP=on and CL=off, or OP=off and CL=on. Yes this is confusing but it got my timer back to as expected. I bought another timer that has operating modes P0 to P9 and these two UP and DOWN toggles were not available. I suspect this product continues to mature. A bit of a challenge to figure out all the possibilities with these timers but pretty slick when you do.

Versatile little gizmo once you learn how to program. Mine arrived with no instructions and there's a plethora of online videos that can help. Unfortunately, Amazon won't let me post a link but I bet if you searched p9u8lrsRrWE you'd find the one I found most helpful. Note the instructions are for a different board but the programming instructions are identical.

This switch was to be used on my pinball machine. I’ve added a roll over switch and a toy connected to a 12 volt motor. It works, but it runs all the time. This switch was to solve that. The ball hits the roll over switch and the motor will run and move the toy for 5 seconds. Unfortunately, I never got that far.I was excited when the switch was delivered only to be very disappointed upon opening up the package. Inside the UPS bag was a small plastic bag with the switch and a smaller plastic bag inside the first bag. That smaller bag wasn’t sealed closed. It was a used bag. It had been cut open and left that way. Inside was the timer module for the switch. This is supposed to already be soldered to the switch - and it had been, but it was broken off. Instead of repairing it, someone just shoved the module in a bag, stuffed that bag and the switch into a bigger bag and sealed it. Then they sold it and I was the lucky buyer. Even though I am rightfully angry that someone would intentionally sell a broken item as if it were new and in working condition, if I thought I could repair it I might keep it.Sometimes things break, nothing is perfect, but this time someone had broken the module off and still intentionally repackaged the switch for sale as new. Unacceptable! Now I had to order a different switch, miss the Prime Day pricing and wait for it to be shipped. Arrrgh!! I've already arranged to return this broken item for a refund and I ordered a different switch from a different seller.Oh, the switch came with no instructions, but that would have been okay since it was clear to me how to wire it up. Of course, neither were there instructions on how to reattach that broken off module. I would have had to use the broken solder marks to figure out it’s orientation. - but I won’t be doing that.In the picture you can see where the module broke off of the board. There is solder on the board and solder on the module legs. That bag is what the module was shoved in to. Not the switch. The switch and the bag with the module were placed back into the bigger bag to be sold to some poor lazy schmuck that would think it too much trouble to go to the trouble of returning such a low cost item. I was the wrong guy. I'm retired, have all the time in the world and I'd go to the trouble of getting my money back if it was less than a dollar. Think of it as an old fart's tenacious hobby.Beware! I have no doubt that once they receive this broken switch back that they will repackage it and try and sell it again - probably to you.
