This device no longer works, we purchased it on February 20th, 2024, and have used the device a total of 5 times. The camera and monitor are no longer communicating and there is no way to reset this connection. Would not recommend this product.

I’m three children in and this will be the first time I use a camera for my baby. I didn’t need it in the past, but now more than 2 require my attention, so this is such a big help.I love the feature that it’s a plug-in and not a Wi-Fi. It’s capable of two-way audio and it gives great peace of mind. The speaker on the parent end is great too, no need to really blast the volume as the microphone picks up even the smallest noises and movement.I love this camera so much because it’s not fancy at all. I could have the monitor in my kitchen and the baby in the room, without having to worry if there’s any internet interruption and they’re moving or waking up, but the monitor is still loading or hasn’t caught it yet. It’s so simple and so basic, I’m in love with this monitor. There’s no fancy set up either, just plug in, aim, and we’re ready to go.I don’t use the night vision as I don’t have it on at night because my baby sleeps bedside. So I can’t review on that, but I’m sure it’s clear viewing.

I've never used a baby monitor before, as I didn't get one for my first child, or my second. So this is my first one, with my third child. I wanted to have one that does not connect to wifi, as I would be using this in my kid's bedroom.Overall I'll say that I do like it. There is a temperature sensor, which is handy though I don't think it's completely necessary. Just nifty. I do like that I can turn off the video and have the sound still on so I can hear my baby. The video screen is on the small side, though whether that matters is individual preference I think. There are two things I don't particularly like. First, the camera isn't as zoomed out as I would have liked. I wish I could use this to observe the entire bedroom, but that's probably not what most people would want. The second thing is that the video quality is not very good when the lights are on. It's nicer when it's dark in the room. Other than these two quibbles, I do like the monitor.

This is a basic, small-screen, non-wifi baby monitor from Motorola. Is it right for you?Motorola makes two types of video monitors. One type connects to a handheld unit via 2.4Ghz radio and is not wifi enabled. it's a basic unit with fairly long range for use only when both you and your baby are at home. The other type connects via wifi and/or the internet to your phone (and many also come with a wifi lcd monitor) allowing you to monitor your baby by phone (or monitor) when you're at home and, via the internet over your phone, when you're away from home. This is not a wifi/internet model. It connects only via 2.4Ghz radio to the handheld receiver screen. Range is fine. Unless you live on a farm, this system will cover your living space and yard.OK, a few comments.1) Monitor is small. Only 2.8 inches. Do you want more screen? For basically the same price you can get a V-Tech with all the features of this system and a 5-inch screen here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/VTech-VM818HD-110-degree-Wide-Angle-NightVision/dp/B093ZTLXS3.2) I don't know what the resolution of the camera and the screen are, but at 2.8 inches it probably doesn't matter how low it is since the screen is so small.3) Camera has no pan and tilt functions and only digital zoom.4) Typical additional abiilities include: night view, 2-way intercom, room-temp monitoring, lullabies. This system from Motorola is basically identical, with a few minor exceptions (light on front of camera vs. speaker grill) to the VM482ANXS from Motorola which sells for the same price here on Amazon. There is no functional difference between the two systems.Honestly, if you're looking for a monitor of this size and range of abilities, you'd do better to get this V-Tech monitor system (also a quality manufacturer of baby monitors) which is available for $40 less on Amazon right now: https://www.amazon.com/VTech-VM819-Monitor-Temperature-Lullabies/dp/B08V8RWP3W/So why do I have this monitor? Because I got it free for this review through the Amazon Vine program. And with 17 grandchildren under the age of 10, new monitors are always welcome. But if I were spending my own money I would either step up in the Motorola lineup or I would go wtih the V-Tech I mention above.

This baby cam sends the signal to the handheld parent unit.It has both color daytime video and the black&white nighttime video. It has two-way audio from the parent unit so I am able to talk to my child in their room via the parent unit. The parent unit is wireless and lasts about 5 hours been charges when using video that whole time but it lasts a lot longer when I don't use the video the whole time.
