I belong to a hiking club here in Colorado, and I handle the photography during our excursions.I am almost never included in our group photos due to not having a way to mount my phone properly for these shots. Most tripods are too heavy and cumbersome to hike with. While searching Amazon for a proper mounting method, I found this 'golf monopod', and it had almost everything I was looking for.I ordered one, which did not arrive too quickly, but once it did show up I put it to use right away. The concept of this monopod is simple; it's collapsible, has a spike on one end, a standard tripod screw on the other, and comes with several useful accessories and a carry pouch.I was impressed by this monopod right away. The quality of the materials and workmanship is very nice. The finish is smooth, and the segments slide nicely both during extension and contraction. To use it you simply grab the main body tube in one hand and the end of the monopod with the other hand and pull. It does take a bit of effort to pull it open, but it's stiff on purpose so that the pod will stay at whatever length you set it. There are no locking mechanisms, just friction to keep it in position. It comes with several accessories which includes a small ball head, a phone clip, and a spike which allows it to stand vertically. You attach the spike to the large end of the tube, and plunge it into the ground. After putting it into the ground and extending it, you then attach the proper accessory (depending on which mount you prefer ), then mount your phone. I prefer the ball head so I can adjust the level of my phone to the best position.I've used this several times and am pleased with its performance so far.It is about 6-8" long when collapsed, which really works nicely for me, as I can easily carry it in a backpack. The carry pouch holds it and all the accessories nicely. It's slightly heavy, but for the quality it offers I'm willing to overlook that. The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five is due to it only being about 3' long when fully extended. I would prefer it to be a few inches longer, but then it wouldn't be able to collapse to such a convenient length for easy carrying.Overall, the materials and quality are really nice, the accessories are useful, and the price is great. I would definitely recommend this for your outdoors video recording activities.

This is a well put together unique mono-pod "kit". I really like that is disassembles and fits into a 7" long carry bag with a cinch string top. Assembly is very easy and very intuitive for a straight phone mount, but it comes with a couple of extra pieces that can be used or left off. One I didn't know how to use it, but when reading the brief instructions I saw that it is a mount for a GoPro camera (they call it an action camera mount). The other is a ball joint that acts like a manual Gimbal that can be screwed in between the mono-pod and the phone mount or the mono-pod and the camera mount. It allows you to angle the camera/phone however you desire independent of how the mono-pod is angled. This is a really good solution for times when you need a camera/phone holder for terrain that is too steep for a tripod. The spike that screws into the bottom is long enough to secure the mono-pod well. I'm not an avid or frequent golfer, but the golf angle for using this item is very reasonable and very suitable. It all condenses down to a very small package that would fit into any of the pockets of the golf bags I have used over the years. It also is easy to carry along in a camera bag/backpack for photo or video shoots in just about any outdoor location.Good product, well made, well designed, thoughtful accessories included, at a price that makes sense.

I wanted a singular pole I could drive into the ground with a camera style threaded top to screw an outdoor solar security camera onto in my backyard. This works perfectly for that application. Not a whole lot else to say about it it though. It does feel a bit flimsy, but again, for my stationary and semi permanent use, I don't see any issues with it. Thank you!

Great looking , practical monopod. Just a shame it broke 1st time of using! The inner thread disappeared inside so not able to screw the spike in! A shame as fantastic, and easy to use. Put it down to 1 of those unfortunate things I guess!

I didn’t use this for golf at all—I got it to film myself and my chickens in the backyard, and it works really well for that. The spike digs into the ground and stays put, even when my chickens get curious and start pecking around it. It’s lightweight, easy to adjust, and holds my phone securely. The adjustable height and 360° rotation make it super easy to get different angles, which I love for capturing both me and the feathered chaos. Definitely a great little tool for outdoor filming—even if you're not swinging a golf club!
