Don't expect to use this for other stuff.At gain levels for vocals this can pick up a fair bit of electrical interference (same as V7) and the noise from vibrations traveling up the boom arm is by far the worst I've ever heard on any mic. Much much worse than the regular V7 vocal version even though when unscrewing the grills they appear to have the same rubber shock mount around the capsule.

Very well made and well-designed. The four presets are very nice option. Having the XLR connector on the bottom parallel with the stand mount is an excellent design. When set to ultra-modern the mic sounds similar to an audix D6. However, the V Kick has a little more low end punch with no EQ added.

Was debating between this and two other kick mics. Went with this one after testing this mic from a friend. Great tone, eq switches come in handy. Also great for live performances.

I am incredibly impressed how easy to find a beefy, tight, kick sound simply by changing settings before even touching the eq on my mixer! this mic made a 20x12 kick sound just as good as any standard size kick. I will be replacing my shure beta 52 inside my 22 with this asap!
