Fits great and protects my wall. We rent so it also covers the holes from the other thermostat. Sits flush and doesn’t impede access to the thermostat. Installation was just as easy as a nest brand backplate and my significant other likes the look much better!

If your thermostat is mounted over an electrical box and you have non-top of the line Nest thermostat, this plate and trim is for you. I called an electrician and explained my problem. They came out, looked at my thermostat and agreed it was on a box. Then they left. They couldn’t help.I researched online and found this plate and trim kit. It is perfect. The plate fits perfectly on the electrical box. The trim plate covers it all well AND the color of the trim is a great match to the thermostat.Hats off to whoever came up with this product. It’s easy, easy to install. I’m a 57 year old woman and had no trouble installing this and the Nest.
