Han Kang é uma maestra na construção das narrativas dentro de narrativas nesta obra prima. Vale cada linha. Impressionante e original.

La historia se divide en tres. La primera parte es buena pero las otras dos son muy aburridas. En general todo el libro es un poco aburrido.

Is not a bad book, but perhaps my expectations were very high. The first part is very interesting but eventually dilutes in ethereal notions, a kind of counter development.

I think there is a lot of interesting information about the point of view of Koreans about being vegan. However, it took me a while to finish it because it is needed guts and stomach to be read, but some narrations are beautiful.

Sin duda uno de los mejores que he leído últimamente. Han Kang no defrauda con ninguno de sus libros. Es una maestra describiendo tantos horrores con la sencillez de su prosa.

Excitante y oscura por momentos pero siempre directa y clara con sus personajes e intenciones.Una mujer que quiere ser árbol, un hombre que necesita encontrar su camino y la hermana mayor de ella y esposa de él que ha vivido día a día siendo quien se espera que ella sea.

A fascinating read. Very different to anything I've read before. I had no idea where it was headed and had to keep turning the pages on a very strange and tragic journey. Explores some pretty deep and dark themes - mental illness, anorexia, and the way we relate to people who make choices that are different to ours. A difficult but rewarding read.
