This works great... however due to a factory flaw with the trailer hitch plug, the holes I should be using are not lined up so can't use it consequently the whole thing is loose and rattles when I drive. Too bad!

Very happy with the locking pin. The reason I bought it was so I wouldn't have to worry about my ball or Beaver Step getting pinched. The pin with the sleeve installed works with standard 5/8" receivers. There is very little lateral slip when locked. I imagine that using the 1/2" Class II non-sleeved pin would have a lot of lateral slippage in one of those tiny receivers because they are so narrow. There is no spacer provided, but that's okay. I like the ability to use it on a light duty trailer package if necessary. Versatility. The 1/2" non-sleeved pin is rated at 22,000 lbs. The sleeved 5/8" pin is rated at 33,000 lbs and up to a Class V tow package. Two keys are included. I bought two locking pins at the same time and they were both keyed the same. I assume that was purposeful, because it was a surprise bonus. Each key has a four digit code engraved on a small placard embedded in the plastic grip, so they are not all the same. The rubber cover that snaps over the locking end to keep dirt out is flimsy. I do not expect it to last very long. I will probably reinforce it with electrical or duct tape to keep it in place. Once it's gone it's gone. No getting it back or replacing it.The whole thing is bright stainless steel and should last a lifetime.

fits the hitch for my silverado like it should, good locking mechanism, i havnt had to take the hitch off yet for any reason so i cannot attest to how it will unlock or if it is rusted on the inside but the rubber cap that covers the lock should prevent moisture from getting in. worked good.

We bought this look to go through our flag pole in the front yard. We wanted a way to secure the pole so it didn't get stolen, but still be able to be removed if needed. This lock works great. It goes thru a pvc pipe cemented in the ground and thru the metal flag pole. This lock is the perfect fit. It has been outside for over a year now and has still not rusted...I can't rememebr now if it said it wouldn't or not, but it hasn't. It has worked out so great, that we gave the idea to 2 of our neighbors and a family member who have used them all with success. The hold up great in the weather and do the job.
