So far the fan is running great. I have it mounted in a cabinet that had 2 smaller fans. I replaced one of the smaller fans with this fan. It is quieter than the smaller fans, but doesn't seem to be moving any more air. I have only been using it for a few weeks so I don't know what the longevity is going to be.

The fan blades are plastic but surrounded by a black steel frame. The frame of metal not plastic is awesome. The polished stainless grates also exude very high quality. This fan would be outstanding mounted on a case containing electronics. I will be mounting it on plywood for temporary window ventilation when doing dusty renovation work. When the work is done perhaps I'll then mount it on a desktop computer case.It is very quiet, especially considering the volume of air it moves. As a result it *may* be useful in certain sound recording situations. I'm not saying ideal, but it's quite quiet. The product in general exudes very high quality which surprised me since it costs under twenty dollars. However it's puzzling that they use very small gauge wires when the rest of the product cuts no corners. I'm concerned that the tiny wires with just a little insulation on them pose a serious hazard. It's not a big deal to improve the situation, for example by improving the insulation by simply wrapping the wires each completely with electrical tape.I cannot recommend using this product as a permanent installation without upgrading the wires and wire connectors. Normally in the US I believe appliances need 18 gauge wire if they run on 120V. These wires are nowhere near that.Still, a great product at a great price. Not for people who don't know how to deal with the potentially hazardous wire situation though.

This was very easy to connect to the wall power cable. The connect is easy to understand and connect. Not sure how safe the connector is for long term, if the wires were to come out, there would be exposed 120VAC.The fan does run very quiet. This is going to be used to coll a pantry with no ventilation so quiet was a requirement for me. It is quiet. The switch is solid and clicks into position with a solid click. This was a good price as it comes with the fan covers and hardware.

I purchased Wderair muffin fans in both the 80mm and 120mm sizes. Since they are pretty much functionally equivent, I'll be cut-n-pasting this review to both products. These fans are great for any kind of project where you need to ventilate a small space. In my case, I'm using them to bring a little fresh air into/out of a small room. For this need, they work well. The fans are pretty quiet, and do move air pretty well. I have one fan blowing in and one blowing out to help exchange air.The fans come in a complete kit with grills, mounting screws, wiring and a cord with an in-line switch. They assemble quite easily and can be mounted in a cabinet, case, or wall. They are a good value.

It worked great as a swap for my water chiller. The old fan exploded and this was a great swap. It moves enough air to handle the cooling of the unit but i do wish it moved a little more considering its size and the voltage of it. The old one had a slightly higher cfm.
