Installed in my sailboat and replaces a TMC brand. I've only used it about 5 times and so far it seems fine. I went with this bcs people commented the rubber lasts longer. An important point that I did not realize when ordering. My old TMC only pumped H2O on the down stroke. This brand pumps water on both the down and up-stroke of the foot pedal. I suppose that is efficient but personally I'd prefer if it did not do that as it increases your H2O consumption a bit. This also causes the H2O pressure to be lower on the up-stroke. But it's fine as I'm not crossing an ocean right now. Plug and play direct replacement, 5 minute installation.

I installed this foot pump in an older Aliner pop up camper that we have. Formerly, I had a noisy electrical pump to bring water from a simple container through a faucet and into a sink that I installed. This camper did not come with a sink or a water system so I created one on a budget. I thought that the convenience of an electric pump would be nice and I didn't want a foot pedal in the way of our small interior. Happily, the foot pedal is not much of a tripping hazard. It's easy to avoid and doesn't stick out as far as I had thought. We haven't had any problems falling over it.We don't often plug in while camping. Preferring to boondock and be off the grid, I didn't think about the amount of power that an electric pump utilized. Our tiny solar system and battery would give out after a day or two in the woods with minimal electrical pump use. This was a bummer while washing dishes, cooking or brushing teeth. Having this foot pump has really made life easier! This manual pump puts out a very strong flow and it produces a stream both on the down pump and also when the foot lever goes back up. Essentially it's double-actioned and you get two spurts of water for every single foot pump. It's also very easy to use. I imagined that it might take some heavy priming with strenuous action prior to any flow but that is not the case. The pedal depresses easily and starts to flow after only 1 or 2 foot pumps if the line is not primed with water already. Once the water line is primed with water it works immediately even after sitting unused for many hours. It's much quieter than a noisy electric pump. I used to cringe when camping near others if I woke up early and wanted to fill a kettle for hot water in the morning. The electric pump we had would rattle and roar at an alarming volume and could be heard from a good distance outside of our camper. No more! This foot pump is terrific. It's low tech, solidly built, easy to install, works quietly and has strong flow rate. It does cost more than an electric pump but it allows for a smaller solar / battery setup which is often a large expense for a DIY camper or van install. Being able to use it without any power at all is a huge perk too.I like the simplicity of this setup. I love not using up my limited battery power. I highly recommend this manual foot pump for a simple kitchen camper setup!

This is a good product, and preferable to their hand-pump faucet, which leaks after a few years and becomes unusable.
