Used this to mount my tractor seat on so it can be turned around to use with a backhoe. It does work, but I struggled with the install because even 1/4-20 bolt heads wouldn't clear the spring that others mentioned. I had to stick carriage bolts in there to make it work. I think if you needed to install this on a seat with its own screw holes rather than the piece of plate that I simply drilled holes through, you may not be able to make it work because the bolt heads will be too thick. The seller should include the appropriate carriage bolts for this reason. Other than that, I'm pleased.
