This has sturdy build, with a strong arm grip. When the item arrived, the plates were a bit stuck to each other, but with some prying (using scissors) to separate them, they opened up and now there’s no issue.Great product idea, handy for bedside usage and fair price point.

I only use it for an Kindle, but it works very nicely. When it first came I could not figure out how to loosen the clamp that hooks onto a table, so I had to pry it open with a screw driver. Once I did that, I don't have any trouble with it, and it stays nicely connected to the table. Also the clamps that hold the Kindle in also work well.

As a parent who's tried a million tablet holders, let me tell you - finding one that works with a chunky desk is a nightmare. They're either too flimsy or the clamp can't handle the extra thickness. This gooseneck holder is a breath of fresh air! Finally, a Clamp That Doesn't QuitForget flimsy phone holders or mic stand adapters! This gooseneck holder boasts a clamp that actually grips onto desks of all shapes and sizes. No more worrying about it toppling over at the slightest bump.Bendable But Not BulgingThe gooseneck itself is the perfect balance of firm and flexible. You can easily adjust it to the perfect viewing angle without worrying it will droop or wobble.Camera-Friendly DesignSome tablet holders have these bulky braces that get right in the way of the camera. Not this one! The slim design ensures a clear shot, making it perfect for my son's stop-motion animation projects.Overall: A Must-Have for Flexible Tablet Use!Whether you're looking for a hands-free recipe reader in the kitchen or the ideal angle for your child's artistic endeavors, this gooseneck tablet holder is a winner. The sturdy clamp, flexible neck, and camera-conscious design make it a fantastic choice for anyone who needs a reliable and adjustable tablet stand.

For someone who spends a fair amount of time in a recliner doodling with an e-reader, a tablet and a smartphone, this is an absolute game-changer. Mind you, it's heavy; and of course, you need a table or other surface not more than 2.9 inches wide on which to clamp it. The PVC pipe isn't easy to manipulate, so I wouldn't recommend it for your 97-year-old grandma who isn't strong enough to lift a skillet full of scrambled eggs. I'll also point out that it moves; if I touch my phone or tablet when it's clamped onto the arm, unless I'm holding one side with my other hand, it's sort of like tapping a bouncing ball (it can't go very far, but still...)Aside from that, though, it's been a real blessing for someone like me. It's easy to put together and hook up (I have an end table right next to my chair); I just put my device of choice in the clamp holder, pull the pipe wherever I need it to be and angle the device ditto. From that point on, it's hands free except when I need to touch the device like swipe a page on my e-reader (and, as noted above, hold it steady with my other hand). Needless to say, this would be a blessing for those who enjoy reading in bed (as long as they have a headboard like mine that will work with the clamp).
