Easy install and I didn't have to change keys for the deadbolt. First one had a bad bluetooth chip but the replacement is working great so far! App could work a little faster but other than that we have enjoyed the benefits of remote locking and unlocking. Also means I can create entryway for visitors like dog walkers and relatives.

I did not find the setup to be as easy as others have said, but now that I have it installed I really like it. It is hard for me to get up for the door, so opening it from my seat is great. With the wifi connection, if I am away I can remotely control the door as well. I also got the keypad, so other people I trust can also get in, each with their own code. There is a log of all the comings and goings. One of the best parts is I kept my old deadbolt lock and keys, so the landlord can still have access when necessary. So I can lock/unlock my door with keypad, or my phone, or my keys. Love it!

I had an original August lock that stopped working a while ago. The battery life was terrible and the app was not great, but I needed a new lock. I did not know it at the time, but Yale (or one of their parent companies) had bought August. The app is the same, even my old user/pass from August had been transferred over. So I was a bit disappointed, but the battery life has been great and I get notifications when the door is locked/unlocked, so it was working for what I needed. There was one problem setting up the lock; they tell you you do not need attach the little box to the door frame to tell if the door is open or not. I did not want to use this but without it the app would not install the lock. But the real disappointment is a promise Yale made about the lock. This lock does not support Apple HomeKit but they claimed that it would support Matter. Back in June 2024 when I bought this lock they said matter would be available by the end of the year and all the web sites reviewing this lock repeated the same line. But a couple months ago Yale quietly updated their website simply stating Matter will be available at a future date, not "this year" as they promised. I was planning on buying more of these for the external doors on a new house I am building, but I can't rely on their promises and hope they will someday make it work. So I will be using a different brand.

Great lock. Easy to install and remove, if needed. Software is intuitive. Easy to invite guests with cell number and remove them when access no longer needed. I’ve been using this same lock at a rental property for about 4 years with no issues. With the wireless bridge you can control remotely. Can connect to Alexa and Google home, if you want. I love the auto-unlock and auto-lock features (only for owners). You walk up to door and without opening app, the door unlocks, then re-locks at a user-defined time period, if you want. Not particularly noisy when locking and unlocking door. You need a smoothly operating deadbolt before installing (no catching or pulling door to lock and unlock).4/15/25 both are still working great !!
