This little switch it of good quality and has a good variety of options as far as set-up goes. You can make it so that the switch indicator light is always on, always off, on only when activated, or on only when waiting to be activated. I did think that the directions and diagrams for wiring could be a lot better. The clarity leaves something to be desired.I wound up taking some time to try each of the configurations to really understand what each could do and what would work best for what I wanted. The button itself stays in about a quarter inch when activated, so I wasn't worried about knowing if I had it activated or not. So I chose for the indicator light to always be on regardless of activation. I was more concerned about always easily being able to see and locate the switch. The overall assembly is nice and sturdy and it had no adverse affects when I disassembled it and put it back together. All of the connectors were properly inserted and everything seemed very secure. The only change I really made was to add clear silicone sealant to the backside of the switch. I did that because I worried about moisture getting in. Not generally a concerns if used inside a vehicle or something, but for my application, I wanted to be better safe than sorry.I would have given this four stars for the overall value, but I just wish the directions were a little clearer and maybe better illustrated. If you are someone who has never experienced wiring in a switch before. the directions for this one might not be enough to help you get the job done.

My Pro List is:I Love that it is very sturdy,It has a metal caseIt can be cleaned without damage,It comes with the wires in the correct order( do not have to crimp those little female spade connectors)inside a molded connectorThe color is so vivid so brightMount easily and gives a look of it being professionally installedMy Con List is:These are not able to handle heavy loads (if you need more 5 volts of power you should connect it to a relay )You need to double check before running current through it because it can cause damage to the switch itself .It takes a minute to identify the color wire function but once you have it all wired up, and the hole drilled out to 19mm (I went just a bit bigger because I found that the 19mm bit makes for an almost too snug fit.All in all I would love to order some more of these for those auxiliary electronics I have installed in my Car.

This is a nice latching pushbutton switch, with an LED ring around the button that can be flexibly connected up (the LED has its own two dedicated terminals), such that it lights when the intended load is on, or off, or continuously. The latching never failed to work on the sample I tried. The action feels good to your finger, solid and unambiguous. The switch comes with a wiring diagram that is tiny, hard to read, and insanely confusing. Wire colors in the diagram do not match the colors of the wires on the included connector. And they don't give you a schematic; you would need to infer it from the 5 modes of connection that are shown. Never fear, I am here! I produced a schematic of what is inside and uploaded it here.As another reviewer mentioned, there are no specifications given for contact ratings. I measured quite low resistance (0.004 Ohms on the NC contact, 0.006 Ohms on the NO contact). So I would guess 1 A is very safe, and you may be able to go up to 10 A or more. But without characterization, there is really no way to know. Again, there is no voltage rating on the contacts, though the seller says "Operating Voltage 12 V".I did a quick V-I characteristic on the LED and uploaded that as well. I infer about 1.5k resistance in series with an LED that has a forward voltage of about 1.8 V. You get significant light at 5 V, though it is stated that 12-24 V is the LED intended operating voltage. I don't see a lot of increased brightness at 24 V, relative to 12 V, so if you care about power consumption, 12 V is preferred. At 24 V on the LED my unit consumed 349 mW, but at 12 V it was only 81 mW.
